Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Takes a Loss

Myrtle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Union Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on August 2nd.

Myrtle's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for West Union, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Myrtle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tupelo Christian Prep on the 26th. As for West Union, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Pontotoc on the 26th.
