Soccer Recap: Vidalia Falls to Appling County in First Game of Season

Vidalia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Appling County Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Owen Jude and Kayden Brantley scored both of Vidalia's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory made it two in a row for Appling County and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Vidalia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Jeff Davis on the 14th. As for Appling County, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Wayne County on the 14th.
