Soccer Recap: Bernalillo Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to four goals the game before, Bernalillo was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of the Albuquerque Academy Chargers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bernalillo of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Brandon Valdez, who's now up to seven this season.

Bernalillo's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Albuquerque Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5-3.

Bernalillo will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Del Norte at 3:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Albuquerque Academy, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Los Alamos on the 4th.
