National No. 20 Memorial (Houston) brings 22-game winning streak into Class 6A Division 1 playoffs.
National No. 20
Memorial (Houston) began its playoff run Wednesday by defeating Heights (Houston) 1-0 in a Class 6A Division 1 best-of-three series. The Mustangs are 26-3-1 with 22 consecutive victories.
No. 21
Calallen (Corpus Christi) has a 26-2 record and is looking to win in Class 4A Division 1 a season after falling 3-1 in the final. The Wildcats won their first 23 games of the season before falling by one run in a pair of April games.
Defending Class 6A champion
Tomball is looking to defend its state title after going 24-6-1 in the regular season. The Cougars begin a best-of-three playoff series today against
Langham Creek (Houston) in Class 6A Division 2.
