Recap: Glendale Nitros vs. Crossroads Roadrunners
After a string of five wins, the Glendale Nitros's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to Crossroads 44-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crossroads to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jiselle Frerichs, who scored 12 points. Frerichs continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Georgia Koff-Gilmore, who scored 17 points.
Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Crossroads, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Burroughs at 6:45 p.m. on December 5th. One thing working in Burroughs' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Crossroads, they will head out on the road to face off against San Marino at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Marino's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Crossroads' offense will have their work cut out for Crossroads.
