Softball Recap: Apalachee Extends Winning Streak to Four

Apalachee came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Habersham Central Raiders by a score of 14-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 back in August.

The team relied heavily on Addisyn Hill, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ryan Rudell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Apalachee's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Habersham Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Apalachee will face off against rival Jackson County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Habersham Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
