Softball Recap: Latta's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Latta had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Roff Tigers by a score of 6-1. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly five runs.

Latta's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Roff, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Latta will challenge Wister at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Roff, they will face off against Asher at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
