Baseball Recap: Brookstone Comes Up Short

Brookstone easily dispatched Evangel Christian on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Cougars fell just short of the Lakeside School Chiefs by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Brennan Neal was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Brookstone's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lakeside School, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Brookstone wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Heritage on the 10th. As for Lakeside School, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 victory against Southwest Georgia Academy on the 9th.
