Softball Recap: Stigler Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sperry on Thursday, Stigler came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Hartshorne Miners on Saturday, falling 13-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Miners recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Stigler's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Hartshorne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Stigler will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McAlester at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Hartshorne, they have already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Savanna on the 8th.
