Baseball Recap: Denmark Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sequoyah

There's no place like home for Denmark, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past the Sequoyah Chiefs 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Denmark has posted since March 27, 2024.

Sebastein Walsh looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Travis Wallace was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Daniel Biondo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got Denmark back to even at 1-1. As for Sequoyah, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Denmark will be taking part in a tournament against Milton at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sequoyah, they will take on North Paulding in a tournament on Friday.
