Basketball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Tan Charter, Glendale Prep Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fountain Hills Falcons by a score of 47-40. For the Griffins, this counts as revenge for the 58-33 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Fountain Hills' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamison Jacobs, who posted 13 points. Jacobs is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Ahren Lloyd was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Glendale Prep Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Fountain Hills, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Glendale Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-66 loss against Mingus on the 29th. As for Fountain Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 victory against Madison Highland Prep on the 2nd.
