Soccer Recap: New Manchester Takes a Loss

New Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rome Wolves, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, New Manchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Rome are ranked 36th).

New Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Rome, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, New Manchester will face off against Lithia Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Manchester will be up against Lithia Springs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.89 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Paulding at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Paulding's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
