Jasper County won against Mary Persons on Wednesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hurricanes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Oglethorpe County Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

Jasper County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Oglethorpe County, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jasper County will square off against First Presbyterian Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oglethorpe County, they will challenge Washington-Wilkes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
