North Star snaps six-game streak of losses on the road

Recap: North Star Cougars vs. Shade Panthers
The North Star Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 49-43 W over Shade. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Star.
It was another big night for Abby Barnick, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Emily Johnston was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
North Star's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
North Star will be home for the holidays to greet McConnellsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shade, they will head out on the road to face off against Forbes Road at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
