Basketball Game Preview: Southlands Christian Eagles vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers

Southlands Christian is 0-4 against Western Christian since November of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Southlands Christian Eagles just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 3:30 p.m. Both have allowed few points on average, (Southlands Christian: 23.4, Western Christian: 28.5) so any points scored will be well earned.

Southlands Christian came up short against Edgewood on Wednesday, falling 54-28.

Western Christian played against NOVA Academy and won via forfeit.

Western Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.3 points per game. As for Southlands Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Southlands Christian took a serious blow against Western Christian in their previous matchup on January 14th, falling 52-8. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southlands Christian was down 29-8.
