Baseball Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennesaw Mountain can now relate to. They fell just short of the McIntosh Chiefs by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 on Friday.

Isander Poventud was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Kennesaw Mountain dropped their record down to 17-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for McIntosh, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-17.

Kennesaw Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McIntosh, they will face off against Pope on Friday. The Chiefs will need to watch out since the Greyhounds have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
