Softball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

If Commerce was riding high fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Rabun County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Elbert County Blue Devils on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Commerce's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Elbert County, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Commerce will square off against Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elbert County, they will challenge Hart County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
