Basketball Recap: Menlo-Atherton Takes a Loss

Menlo-Atherton and Justin-Siena squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Menlo-Atherton had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-36 defeat at the hands of the Justin-Siena Braves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since January 25th.

It was another big night for Jordan WASHINGTON, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards for Justin-Siena. WASHINGTON is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Zapolski, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 15 points.

Menlo-Atherton's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Justin-Siena, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season.

Menlo-Atherton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Justin-Siena, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-43 win against Immanuel on the 8th.
