Volleyball Recap: Cheney Tech Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cheney Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Academy of International Studies Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-13.

Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez had an outrageously good game for Academy of International Studies as she had 21 digs and five assists. Zuluaga- Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Cheney Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Academy of International Studies, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Cheney Tech will host Goodwin RVT at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Academy of International Studies, they will challenge University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
