Softball Recap: Davenport Central Comes Up Short

Davenport Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Central DeWitt, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Central DeWitt this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 on Monday.

Davenport Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Central DeWitt, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-12.

Coming up, Davenport Central will welcome North Scott at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central DeWitt, they have already played their next contest, a 15-4 defeat against Marion on the 24th.
