Recap: Cameron County Raiders vs. Clarion Area Bobcats
The Cameron County Raiders lost against the Clarion Area Bobcats back in February of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cameron County suffered a tough 49-24 defeat at the hands of Clarion Area. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cameron County has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Cameron County saw an underclassman step up: Trinity Earle dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarion Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Babington, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Alston, who scored 11 points.
Cameron County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Clarion Area, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cameron County will take on Port Allegany at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Port Allegany is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Clarion Area, they will be playing at home against East Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
