Basketball Recap: Red Lion Extends Winning Streak to Three

It was a proper cat-fight when Red Lion duked it out withWilliam Penn on Friday. The Red Lion Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the William Penn Bearcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-49 back in December of 2024.

Red Lion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bekah Sedora out in front who posted eight points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Sedora a new career-high in rebounds. Reagan Smith was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win was the third in a row for Red Lion, bringing their record for this year to 18-1. As for William Penn, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing New Oxford the next time they take the court. Red Lion will host New Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while William Penn will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
