Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for John Hancock Academy

John Hancock Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Twiggs Academy Trojans as they made off with a 10-2 victory. Considering the Rebels have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

David Loyd and Jack Letson did most of the damage at the plate: Loyd scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Letson scored a run and stole Two bases. The dominant performance gave Loyd a new career-high in runs. Eli Letson was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

John Hancock Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Twiggs Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

John Hancock Academy has already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Thomas Jefferson Academy on the 18th. As for Twiggs Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-2 loss against David Emanuel Academy on the 18th.
