Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Knights vs. Delone Catholic Squires

Fairfield hasn't had much luck against Delone Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Fairfield Knights will square off against the Delone Catholic Squires at 7:30 p.m.

Fairfield is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-30 heartbreaker at the hands of York County Tech.

Meanwhile, Delone Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Bermudian Springs on Wednesday as they won 51-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Squires.

Delone Catholic is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Fairfield took a serious blow against Delone Catholic in their previous matchup on January 13th, falling 67-20. Can Fairfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
