Baseball Recap: Camden County Victorious

Camden County was forced to take a big defeat against Tift County on Friday, they got the better of them on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with an 11-7 win over the Blue Devils. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Blue Devils on Friday, they had to take a 12-3 loss.

Parker Riendeau made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavyn Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Bentley Maysonet also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Camden County's record now sits at 8-22. As for Tift County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-15 record.

Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tift County, they will challenge Lee County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
