Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. McLane

The Central Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the McLane Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Central played against Roosevelt on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

McLane is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fresno just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Warriors could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept McLane happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 30, 2025.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashlee Salinas, who's now up to 25 this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. McLane's draw makes their record 13-9-1 this season.

Central suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to McLane in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Grizzlies were down 7-0.
