Baseball Recap: Westminster Takes a Loss

Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pace Academy Knights. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pace Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Pace Academy, they will square off against First Presbyterian Day at 2:00 p.m. on March 8th.
