Basketball Game Preview: Bentley Phoenix vs. Head-Royce Jayhawks

Bentley hasn't had much luck against Head-Royce recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bentley Phoenix will host the Head-Royce Jayhawks at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bentley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They escaped with a win against Quarry Lane by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40.

Meanwhile, Head-Royce waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They strolled past the Pilots with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Given the Jayhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Pilots are ranked 813th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Head-Royce's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bentley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
