Soccer Game Preview: Christopher vs. Leigh

The Christopher Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Leigh Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Leigh will come in with eight straight victories.

On Friday, Christopher came up short against Westmont and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Christopher have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Leigh's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand Branham a 1-0 shutout. Give Leigh's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Despina Gerodimos, who's now up to two this season.

Leigh's win bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Christopher, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
