Baseball Game Preview: Hampton Hornets vs. The Grace Christian Academy Eagles

The Hampton Hornets will square off against The Grace Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hampton has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 19.

Things were looking good for Hampton after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Stockbridge by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by just one run.

Cole Moody and Corbin Allen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Moody scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Allen scored two runs and stole three bases.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Grace Christian Academy). They blew past Carver 13-3 back in February. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for The Grace Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
