Recap: High Tech CV Bruins vs. Ocean View Christian Patriots
The High Tech CV Bruins were the 35-25 winner over the Ocean View Christian Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. High Tech CV suffered a tough 40-14 defeat at the hands of Ocean View Christian on Thursday. High Tech CV has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ocean View Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Montse Acosta led the charge by scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Barbeito, who scored six points.
High Tech CV has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Ocean View Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
High Tech CV will head out on the road to face off against O'Farrell Charter at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ocean View Christian, they will be playing at home against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Ocean View Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Ocean View Christian.
