The Lamar County Trojans are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Hampton Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Those two RBI gave Ward a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Aiken, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Hampton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jonesboro only posted a batting average of .231.
