Soccer Game Preview: Woodward Academy vs. Arabia Mountain

The Woodward Academy War Eagles will face off against the Arabia Mountain Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodward Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Woodward Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Pace Academy, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Woodward Academy was ranked 18th). The War Eagles were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Knights on Thursday. Considering Woodward Academy have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Arabia Mountain brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past Miller Grove 5-2 last Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for Arabia Mountain as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

They hit Miller Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alex Hibbert (2), Jayden Thomas (2), and Keynan Ratliff.

Arabia Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Woodward Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
