Soccer Game Preview: Watsonville vs. Everett Alvarez

Watsonville and Everett Alvarez are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2018, but likely not for long. The Watsonville Wildcatz will square off against the Everett Alvarez Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Everett Alvarez took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Watsonville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Watsonville turned things around against Monterey on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Dores.

Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez came up short against Salinas on Monday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now lost eight in a row.

Watsonville's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-7-2. As for Everett Alvarez, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
