Mira Mesa came tearing into Thursday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 55-29 margin over the Southwest SD Raiders. The Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Ivorii Seals continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 14 en route to 24 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Otero, who posted 11 points along with five boards and five steals.

Southwest SD's loss came despite strong showings from Pilar Carrera and Jazlyn Martinez. Carrera had ten points, while Martinez put up ten points. That was a full 34.5% of Southwest SD's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Southwest SD, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Mira Mesa and Brawley will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Southwest SD, they are taking a road trip to face off against O'Farrell Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
