Basketball Game Preview: South Gate Rams vs. Panorama Pythons

The South Gate Rams will challenge the Panorama Pythons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Gate is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Sun Valley Magnet by a score of 48-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Jahnelle Mcgrue had another great game (as she tends to do), putting up 30 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Vida Barajas, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Panorama really took it to Contreras for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-31 victory. The Pythons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 28 points or more this season.

South Gate better focus on containing Kayla Thomas and Valery Quezada as the pair were huge in Panorama's win. Thomas went 11-for-17 en route to 25 points, while Quezada shot 47% from the field on her way to 22 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Quezada has scored at least a third of Panorama's points.

South Gate's record is now 7-16. As for Panorama, their record now sits at 13-11.
