It was a good run, but Exeter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Dover Green Wave by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Hawks of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Dover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Exeter will take on rival Bishop Guertin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Hawks 3.1, the Cardinals 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dover is set to challenge their familiar foe Pinkerton at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
