Softball Recap: Beatrice Beats Skutt Catholic for Their 11th Straight Win

Beatrice waltzed into their game on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Skutt Catholic SkyHawks. That's more bragging rights for the Orangemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Callie Schwisow was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Sadie Hereth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Beatrice was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 17 consecutive matches.

Beatrice's record now sits at 19-4. As for Skutt Catholic, they moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Beatrice will head out on the road to face off against Ralston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Orangemen 3.6, the Rams 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Skutt Catholic, they will take on Elkhorn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
