Soccer Game Preview: Tucker vs. Cross Keys

The Tucker Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Cross Keys Phoenix at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cross Keys took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tucker, who comes in off a win.

Tucker is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Lithonia on Wednesday. With the Tigers ahead 3-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Cross Keys managed to keep up with Druid Hills until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Cross Keys came up short against Druid Hills, falling 3-0. Cross Keys fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Red Devils since on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Cross Keys and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Tucker, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3.

Tucker beat Cross Keys 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Tucker repeat their success, or does Cross Keys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
