Lyons has won three straight games at home, while Sterling has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Lions will welcome the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Lyons is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Lyons needed a bit of extra time to put away Strasburg. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indians 9-7.

Gretta Wynja made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Greta Hildebrand was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Taylor Dickes was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Lyons hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sterling's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 15-6 to Brush.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lyons, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Lyons took their win against Sterling in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
