Sergeant Bluff-Luton entered their tilt with Denison-Schleswig on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Monarchs. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Denison-Schleswig, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

Coming up, Sergeant Bluff-Luton will venture away from home to take on Sioux City East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denison-Schleswig, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Pocahontas on the 21st.
