Soccer Game Preview: Morehead vs. Rockingham County + How To Watch

The Morehead Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Rockingham County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Morehead has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 25.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Morehead's offense. They lost 9-0 to Carver on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Morehead can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 561st, while Carver are ranked 212th).

Meanwhile, neither Rockingham County nor McMichael could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Morehead's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. Rockingham County's draw gives them a new season record of 7-9-3.

Morehead came up short against Rockingham County in their previous meeting on October 1st, falling 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
