Softball Recap: Seckinger's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seckinger had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Chamblee Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Annmarie Nagy looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Milan Torres, who fired off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Ma'At Willis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Seckinger lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chamblee didn't launched any.

The win (which was Seckinger's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Chamblee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.

Seckinger didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-6 win against Effingham County on the 20th. Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
