Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Vikings by a score of 49-46 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

South will head out to take on Garces Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
