Basketball Recap: Northern York Makes It 18 in a Row at Home

Northern York put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 47-30 victory over the Northeastern Bobcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Polar Bears also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2017.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauralye Kennedy, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Nylah Davis, who scored nine points.

Northern York pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.9 points. As for Northeastern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Northern York and East Pennsboro will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Northeastern, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Northeastern Bobcats challenge the Central Dauphin East Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
