Football Recap: Greenbrier West Cavaliers vs. Fort Frye Cadets

Greenbrier West fell victim to Fort Frye and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Cadets. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Gavin Rauch and Tyce Beardsley. Rauch gained 102 total yards and three touchdowns while Beardsley rushed for 108 yards and one score. With that strong performance, Beardsley is now averaging an impressive 100.7 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Hesson, who threw for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Greenbrier West's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fort Frye, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
