Dynamic duo of Jazmine Cardwell and Veekie Head lead Vallejo to victory

Recap: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Bethel Jaguars

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Leandro, the Vallejo Redhawks were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 38-32 victory over Bethel. For Vallejo, this counts as revenge for the 41-26 loss Bethel walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Leading Vallejo to victory were Jazmine Cardwell and Veekie Head. Cardwell dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Head scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Cardwell's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taliyah Davis, who scored a points along with ten rebounds and six steals.

Vallejo's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Bethel, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11-1.

Vallejo will head out on the road to face off against Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethel, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hercules at 6:00 p.m. Hercules is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
