Recap: Masterman vs. Bodine
Masterman can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past Bodine 50-29. Given Masterman's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the are ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Masterman to victory were Sophia Brunelli and Jocelyn Goldstein. Brunelli scored 17 points along with five assists and five steals, while Goldstein scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which Goldstein has scored at least a third of Masterman's points. Hannah Sollie was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Masterman's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Bodine, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Masterman will head out on the road to square off against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Bodine, they will be playing at home against the Colonials at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
