Softball Game Preview: Boone Toreadors vs. North Polk Comets

Boone is on a four-game streak of home wins, while North Polk is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Toreadors will host the Comets on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Boone is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since May 31st on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Storm Lake 5-4.

Meanwhile, while North Polk put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Spencer. The Comets put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 contests by six runs or more this season.

North Polk is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 21-13.
