Basketball Preview: Orland Trojans vs. Oroville Tigers
Orland has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Oroville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Orland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
Last Friday, Orland came up short against the Thunderbirds and fell 42-29.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lillianna Rowe, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Emily Karle was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Oroville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 48-43 to the Bulldogs.
Orland's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Oroville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
Orland didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Oroville's Leila Jackson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
